Software Development Assistant

You should have at least one year experience in using modern Microsoft programming languages such as C# and/or VB.Net. Working with MS Sql Server 2000/2005 should not be totally new to you. You should be very willing to learn new technologies such as AJAX, Silverlight, Linq, Windows Workflow Foundation, Windows Presentation Foundation, Windows Communication Foundation.

You'll be working in a team of both local and expatriate software designers and developers who will help you learn new techniques and aim to help you progress towards becoming a Junior Software Developer within 12 months.

Required skills/knowledge:

• Willing to learn Object Oriented analysis and programming
• Familiarity with the following techniques
  • ASP.Net 2.0
  • C#  and/or VB.Net
  • XHTML and CSS
  • Basic or better understanding of Sql Server 2000/2005.
  • Familiarity with XML
  • Understanding of Software Product Lifecycle
    • Product Design
    • Development
    • Testing and Evaluation for quality

Responsibilities:

• Writing xhtml markup code for web pages
• Populate websites with content as provided by our clients using CMS and sometimes also by editing HTML and CSS code.
• Entry level C# and VB.Net coding
  
• Maintenance tasks such as creating backups, software installations and network maintenance
